3D CBCT Scanning
3D CBCT Scanning
3D Dental Scan Conebeam CBCT to Diagnose Root Canals, Infections, Dental Cavitations
Is there a concern around radiation with the 3D cbct scan? Is the Dental CT scan like a hospital CT Scan? No, you should NOT be worried. The amount of exposure a Dental CBCT scan exposes a patient to is less than 90% of a hospital-based CAT scan and 70% less than a regular chest x-ray done in the hospital. The exposure level is slightly more than 4 bitewings, or equivalent to full mouth series Xrays.
- 3D Digital Diagnostic CBCT (Conebeam) Scans are used to:
- Diagnose Infections
- Tooth & Root Infections
- Root Canal Infections
- Bone Infections
- Tissue Infections
- Cavitation Infections
- Advanced Dental Implant Diagnostic & Analysis
- Bone Level Diagnostics
- Bone Grafting Determination
- Dental Implant Assessment
- Dental Implant Planning
- Dental Implant Placement Support
- Develop customized surgical guides for dental implant placement
- TMJ (Templar Mandibular Joint Disorder)
- Joint stress
- Bone fractures
- Bone joint angles & movement
- Functional Orthodontia
- Palate expansion assessment & Planning (ALF)
- Tooth & Root Angles for Orthodontic Cases
- Mandible & Maxilla place analysis
- Full Mouth Reconstruction Planning
- Assess functionality of existing teeth
- Diagnose and plan full mouth rehabilitation cases
Digital 3D x-ray scans for Geriatric patients and Children
In addition to reducing radiation exposure down to the lowest on the medical market during 3D imaging, the new 3D CT scan also has benefits for people who sometimes gag on ‘bitewing’ x-rays by using a new kind of bitewing x-ray that happens outside of patients’ mouth for more comfort.
