The practice was founded by dr Paolo Brogneri in 1993. From the start it became part of the community offering the full range of dental services, while sharing rooms with a medical G.P.

In 2001, dr Maria Theologides joined the practice as the only practicing child specialist dentist (degree, not diploma).

Having trained  in Kinesiology, Metaphysics (the mental/emotional state behind dis-ease) and functional medicine, Dr Maria Theologides mapped the road for Camps Bay Dental Studio, to transition into, first a Biological practice, and then the establishment of the SAABP, bringing together the medical and dental fraternities in a quest to establish and treat root causes of dis-eases.

The practice has grown successfully and become recognized across South Africa and abroad, as an Integrated Biological Dental Studio, teaching and upholding, the international standards and protocols.

Dr Theologides is the owner of Camps Bay Medical & Dental Studio, and together with her team, continue to offer first world biological dentistry and care to their patients.

What makes this practice unique is the full integration of both Biological Dental treatment modalities, with protocols of both Functional Medicine and Naturopathy. This allows us as a team to not only assist our patients to often establish the root causes of their ailments, but also to safely and holistically address their dental needs. Dr Maria Theologides not only removes amalgam fillings using the international SMART protocols, but assists patients with the detoxification of heavy metals from the body.

In addition, the Biological Surgical training of dr Paolo Brogneri, together with the collaboration with our Maxillofacial Surgeons  – has created a power team that is able to tackle all aspects of Biological Dentistry including the vital clearing of cavitation (osteonecrotic) areas, the biological removal of wisdom teeth and infected/root canal treated teeth.
