Iridology is an alternative diagnostic technique that involves examining the iris (the colored part of the eye) to assess a person’s personality, inherited predispositions and overall health.
Key Concepts of Iridology:
- Iris as a Map of the Body:
- Iridologists believe that different zones of the iris correspond to specific organs and systems in the body—like a topographical map.
- For example, the upper part of the iris might relate to the brain and head, while the lower part could correspond to the legs or feet.
- Signs in the Iris:
- Practitioners look for specific markings, color changes, textures, or patterns in the iris.
- These are thought to reveal predispositions, constitutional weaknesses, or imbalances.
- As well as tell us about the person’s character traits, strengths and weaknesses.
- Non-Invasive Tool:
- A digital camera is used to photograph and analyse the iris.
