Safe Amalgam Removal Of Silver Fillings (SMART)

Safe Amalgam Removal by an Accredited Holistic Dentist IS THE ONLY WAY TO REMOVE YOUR AMALGAMS SAFELY.

Safe amalgam removal, or the removal of metal fillings with mercury in them, should only ever be done by an accredited and experienced, IAOMT or IABDM dentist to ensure its done correctly, to minimize health hazards and side effects that are likely to occur with incorrect amalgam removal.

Many dentists claim to be mercury free or amalgam free, which merely means they don’t place amalgam fillings – but when asked by patients to “remove their silver fillings”, most merely just drill into this toxic restoration or use a rubber dam, claiming that they are biological – such a dentist specifically doesn’t understand or isn’t aware of the dangers of amalgam mercury removal and required procedures to keep patients and staff safe. Using suction and a dental dam is NOT ENOUGH for biological, SAFE amalgam removal. Non – SMART amalgam removal is an extremely dangerous and hazardous procedure if not done correctly by a SAABP/IAOMT accredited and SMART certified dentist.  In fact, studies have proven the deteriorating mental and physical condition of non-mercury-safe dentists that have lacked awareness about the toxicity and danger of removing dental amalgams without proper safety protocols. Due to the constant and continuous exposure to vaporized mercury that occurs during drilling amalgam fillings without proper protection, research shows that there is a strong correlation between dentists holding the highest suicide rates among all medical professions and their extremely high exposure to mercury.

Biological is a term that should only be used by dentists who have indeed done the extensive training and being accredited by an institute such as the South African Academy of Biological Practitioners (SAABP) or the IAOMT. A SMART Accredited Member is a member who has completed the Fundamentals of Biological Dentistry Course, an in-depth course on heavy metals and their impact on the body as well as the SMART technique and detox from the body – who has completed an oral examination, as well as, done a practical SMART amalgam removal procedure. In addition, a member must have all the necessary equipment and materials to be able to perform the SMART before being accredited and added to our SAABP directory.
